What does the ALCN do?
The ALCN leads advocacy to commonwealth and state governments, educational institutions, businesses and community organisations to grow life-long learning communities.
The ALCN facilitates the co-creation of knowledge and support for practitioners.

Equality in the City (NEW!)
On the 5th – 7th November 2014, professional planning organisations around the world will celebrate World Town Planning Day with an international online conference on: Equality in the City – Making Cities Socially Cohesive. The theme of the conference will be to showcase and celebrate urban plans and policies that link current urban development with future needs, and that are solidly grounded in the fundamental principles of equity, justice and human rights’ around the world.
2014 Lifelong Learning in Korea Vol.3 (NEW!)
The Lifelong Education Act of Korea mandates to establish the National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE) at the national level, lifelong education promotion institutions at the provincial/metropolitan level, and lifelong education centers at the municipal/district level. In 2014, the Act was amended to include village lifelong learning centers in order to guarantee access to learning and reinforce the nationwide network of lifelong learning centers, ultimately completing the national framework of lifelong learning in the centenarian era.
